Board-Certified Hearing Care in Chautauqua County

Accessibility Statement

The Hearing Place is committed to making both our website and our Falconer office accessible to every patient and visitor, including those with disabilities. Everyone deserves equal access to hearing healthcare information and to the support that goes with it.

Web Accessibility

We work to make our website, thehearingplace.net, conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, or voice control software.

Our ongoing accessibility efforts include:

  • Providing descriptive alt text for images throughout the site;
  • Ensuring sufficient color contrast between text and background elements;
  • Using semantic HTML to support screen readers and other assistive technologies;
  • Making all interactive elements keyboard-navigable;
  • Writing clear, plain-language content that is easy to understand; and
  • Ensuring forms include visible labels and helpful error messages.

We are actively working to identify and resolve any remaining accessibility barriers. If you have trouble reaching any part of this website, please contact us and we will make every reasonable effort to provide the same information in a format that works for you.

In-Office Accessibility

Our office at 102 E Main St, Falconer, NY 14733 sits on East Main Street next to Crosby's, and we want the visit itself to be easy for patients of all abilities. In-office accommodations include:

  • Handicap-accessible parking: designated accessible spaces in our lot;
  • Private, on-site parking lot: no metered street parking or shared garage to work around;
  • Quiet, private testing space: unhurried, education-led appointments give patients with sensory or communication needs the time they need; and
  • Appointment-based scheduling: booking ahead lets our team prepare for a patient's specific access needs before they arrive.

If you have a specific accessibility need not listed above, call or text us before your visit at (716) 708-4343 and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Feedback & Contact

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website and our office. If you run into a barrier, or if you have a suggestion for how we can improve, please reach out:

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 2 business days.

Limitations

While we work to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards across this site, some content may not yet fully conform. We will keep addressing issues as they are identified and as resources allow. Third-party content and linked external sites are outside our direct control and may not meet the same accessibility standards.
